Are memory sticks (USB drives) water proof?

Not exactly water proof, but you can DRY it out. There are no moving parts, and the storage media is deep within the silicone chip, so it will resist damage

Not unless is specifically says on the package. I had one that went through the wash and dryer, and it worked fine, but I think it was just out of luck.

droped a 512 flash drive in a pint once, dryed it out and im still using it today.
